Ms. Dina Marble
Dina began her counseling career in 1998 as an addiction therapist at Bradford Health Services specializing in outdoor experiential therapy. While working at Bradford she earned her Licensure in Counseling (LPC) and a Certification in Recreational Therapy (CTRS). In April of 2002, Dina accepted a counseling position at ASFA. Drawing from her experiential therapeutic background, Dina developed a retreat system for each grade as part of ASFA's Student Support Services. The retreats are specifically designed to enhance relationships, create a stronger sense of community, and support students through challenging transitions. Dina believes when students feel supported, affirmed, and connected, they are in a better position to reach their greatest potential. One of her favorite quotes is, "The more we know about one another, the less likely we are to hurt one another."
In addition to a retreat system, Dina facilitates the following programs which are also specifically designed to enhance relationships and create a stronger ASFA community. Peer Leaders, New 8th Grade Orientation, 7th Grade Explorer Series, Heritage Panel, Black Student Union Roundtable Discussions, and Cultural Conversations. Dina also offers support, when needed, to the following student groups; ASFA Next, Ethics Bowl, and ASFA's GSA.
Dina has served on the Executive Council of the Alabama Counseling Association, the planning committee for the Alabama Safe School's Coalition, and has served as President of a division of the Alabama Counseling Association.
In her spare time, Dina can be found spending time with her husband and three daughters, playing frisbee golf, or teaching Scuba Diving to kids and families.
