Visit Alabama School of Fine Arts
-
We highly encourage all prospective students and their families to visit ASFA's campus. Meeting and interacting with students, faculty, and staff will give you a true feeling of the dynamic and welcoming culture of ASFA. This year we have multiple ways to visit ASFA in person and virtually. For information on virtual/digital visits and information sessions, go to our Virtual Visits page.
Some of our in-person opportunities include:
Tuesday Tours are offered on certain Tuesdays from November-May. The whole family can take a tour of the school and learn about the application process from our recruiter. These one-hour tours offer a broad look at the school and each of our six specialty departments. There will also be information shared from ASFA's admission officer on the application process and admission requirements. Meet in the school lobby prior to the tour you wish to attend, and please fill out our RSVP form prior to coming on campus.
The tours are at 3 p.m. Visitors are asked to confirm their plans to attend in advance via email to Jaronda Little at jlittle@asfa.k12.al.us.

Spend a Day at ASFA is a deep dive into the life of an ASFA student. You will be paired with an ASFA student host in your department and of a similar grade to you for the day. As you follow their schedule for the day, you will get to go to classes with them while meeting our academic and specialty teachers and lots of ASFA students. You'll get to see what a day at ASFA is like, from the friendly student body to our top-tier teachers to a delicious meal in our cafeteria. Contact Jaronda Little with any questions. Click here to sign up to Spend a Day at ASFA. Shadowing is available October - April.
Open House 2024 has already happened. Check back for the 2025 date in October or November. Prospective families come to campus and take a tour of the school and learn more about the school and the admission and application process. Meet specialty department chairs, administrators, and current students.
