• Math 8:

    • a one inch binder with loose-leaf paper - no spiral notebooks!
    • pencils a plenty
    • simple function calculator - NOT the one on your phone

    Astronomy:

    • binder with loose leaf paper AND grid graph paper
    • pocket folder to hold handouts (one that fits in your binder would be ideal!)
    • pens or pencils
    • highlighter
    • download a FREE sky viewing app to your phone - I recommend Sky Map or Star Tracker (or both!)

    Chemistry:

    • binder with loose-leaf paper and pockets OR personal 3-hole punch to file problem sets
    • something to write with (keep in mind that pencils are easier to correct mistakes)
    • scientific calculator that is capable of scientific notation and logarithms - I highly recommend the TI-30X series - NOT the one on your phone
    • a willingness to try and a dedication to following lab directions

    Forensic Science:

    • some sort of system that holds your notes and any handouts
    • something to write with
    • a curious mind and a strong stomach
