A native of Birmingham, Mrs. Gray attended the Altamont School, Boston University and UAB.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a Master of Arts degree in education.  Mrs. Gray worked at Hoover High School for 12 years where she taught U.S. History, Alabama History, and History of the Americas in the International Baccalaureate program.  She joined the faculty at ASFA in 2009 where she teaches Advanced Studies in U.S. History I and the History of Great Britain, but has also taught U.S. Government and Economics. She was named the Sallie Mae New Teacher of the Year at HHS in 1997 and was named the NSDAR state of Alabama Outstanding Teacher of American History in 2006.
